Imagine Change is a photo-based project that gives children a platform for expression. Based in Vancouver's lower east side, a group of children attend a weekly photography class at the Strathcona Community Centre. The classes are free and will supply the children with a camera and an education on how to use the camera. Classes will encourage children to explore photography within their community and reflect the way they see their environment. Images will be worked on and displayed in an end of year gallery exhibit. Portraits of the children will be displayed in large format around east Vancouver to raise awareness to the socio-economic challenges the children face within their community.
